Hemlock, MI (May 19, 2009) - Dan Baudoux has taken his #7 Mole Lake Casino Miller Lite Ford F-150 into the PRO-2WD ranks of professional off-road racing. After several years in the Super Truck Sportsman division, Dan is not competing against the best field of full size short course truck competitors in the world. The Traxxas Off-Road Series presented by AMSOIL is where Dan “The Rocket Man” Baudoux will be showcasing his driving talent and sponsors during the 2009 season. Friday afternoon practice saw Dan pull off the track with an overheated transmission during the second practice session. Before the failure, the Rocket Man has posted the second fastest time in the first practice session. Quickly his team went to work installing a new transmission. Unfortunately, this meant no qualifying time, putting the Mole Lake Casino Ford in the back of the starting grid. Round One The rolling start was new for many including Dan, in the starting PRO-2WD field. A couple of drivers were lagging of the start of the twenty lap race, making it an even longer road to the front pack. Dan was beginning to make up a few positions, when the driveshaft broke just before the competition yellow of lap 11. The Mole Lake Ford was credited with a fourteenth place finish. Round Two Once again, starting from the rear, the “Rocket Man” quickly shot passed several trucks, and the team’s fortunes were looking better. Then transmission temperatures began to climb, eventually causing Dan to pull off the track. “I don’t know what causing our driveline issues,” commented Dan Baudoux. “We get back home and assess the weekend and get it figured out. This is a whole new ballgame for us. The rolling starts, the caution laps, the mandatory caution, the class we are racing, the added 200 horsepower we run with…..we will get it sorted out and you will see the Mole Lake Ford up front.” Dan Baudoux Motorsports would like to thank its sponsors including: Mole Lake Casino & Conference Center
